Genesishomes
At Genesis Housing Group, we are changing the way we bring our
new homes to customers looking to buy.
Until now, we have used Sutherland, the name of our subsidiary, to
promote and sell our homes. But from 1 January
2007, we will be marketing and promoting the properties we
have available to buy under the brand name
'Genesishomes'.
The Sutherland brand and logo that you see on this page will be
replaced by Genesishomes, which will appear on everything
involved in the process of selling our homes to you.
New website
There is a new Genesishomes website, which will be a
one-stop shop for customers looking to buy a home from us:
www.genesishomes.org.uk
You can currently view details of some of our most recent new
homes available to buy at the Genesishomes website.
However, while we are working to make it as interactive and
customer-friendly as possible, you will continue to find details
about many of our new homes here at the Sutherland website.

What does this change mean?
Our part buy, part rent schemes (such as New Build HomeBuy,
previously known as shared ownership) and other homes for sale will
now be advertised, marketed and sold to our customers under the
'Genesishomes' brand instead of 'Sutherland'.
Genesishomes is only a marketing name and not yet a
registered company; so our homes will continue to be sold with
contracts and leases through one of our other subsidiaries,
PCHA.
Like Sutherland, PCHA is a housing association and charity within
the Genesis Housing Group.
Existing and new homeowners will continue to be customers of the
Genesis Housing Group and be secure in the knowledge that they are
part of a housing group with a track record for providing quality
homes in London and the south east for over 40 years.
How will these changes affect customers?
These changes will be of little consequence to customers. You
will deal with the same experienced staff in our sales team and you
can expect the same standards of service excellence. Should you
purchase a property from us; your contract and lease will simply be
with PCHA instead of with Sutherland.
The following will remain the same:
- Your rights as a leaseholder under the terms of your lease
agreement
- The way your property is managed
- This will not affect your home or your rights
- The staff with whom you have contact
- The offices and their contact details
- The policies under which these offices operate
Under this new brand direction we hope to continue to develop
and sell properties which meet the financial and practical needs of
our customers.
