Genesis awarded highest allocation

Genesis Housing Group, on behalf of subsidiary PCHA (Paddington Churches Housing Association) has been awarded the highest allocation in the Housing Corporation's National Affordable Housing Programme 2006/08.


Genesis was awarded the substantial sum of £138.9 million.


"We are thrilled to have received such a high allocation. We have built up a significant landbank of £150 million which will enable us to deliver this programme quickly and efficiently. We have established a strong track record in the delivery of new homes and we are looking forward to building on this success," Steve Coleman, Genesis Housing Group Director of Development, said.


Genesis's bidding partner, Aragon Housing Association, was successful in achieving an allocation of £4.16 million.


Gentect Homes, of which Genesis Housing Group is one of seven shareholders, has also received an allocation from the Housing Corporation of £5.3 million. Gentect Homes are the only Special Purpose Vehicle to have received any funding.
